The National Association of REALTORS (NAR) Conference and Expo was held in Boston last week. VIP REALTOR and Sanibel Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS (SCIAR) President-Elect Becky Mulka took time from her busy schedule to attend. Also attending this conference from SCIAR was Bill Robinson, CEO, and Brendan Albright, current SCIAR President and REALTOR at Pfeifer Realty Group. This annual NAR conference conducts educational sessions about current real estate trends and legislation. Becky found the session on AI particularly valuable and learned the more you use AI, the more valuable it becomes! I agree! It is very interesting to plug questions into AI and read the response!
Because this conference is so well-attended, there were ample opportunities to network with colleagues from across the nation and Becky took full advantage of those sessions. As SCIAR President-Elect, she was very interested in sharing ideas about Board governance with Directors of like-size organizations. Becky was also most impressed with the quality and experience of the speakers, such as Marcus Buckingham, author of the NYT Best-selling management book, “First, Break All the Rules.” She also heard Boston Red Sox legend, “Big Papi” David Ortiz, tell stories from his incredible journey on becoming a sports legend. In between, Becky had to try the “lobstah” roll. Sad to report she could not bring any home with her! That’s OK. I’ll put up our crunchy grouper to Boston Lobster any day! More importantly, Becky came back energized and brimming with new information to share with her colleagues at VIP Realty Sanibel and Captiva and SCIAR!. Thank you, Becky for your leadership!
