The City of Sanibel New Resident Reception will be held on Friday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at BIG ARTS. The mayor, city council, as well as department directors and staff, will give a brief update regarding their respective departments. The reception is open to the public and coffee and pastries will be served. Following the reception, guests are invited to stay for the annual hurricane seminar from 1 to 3 p.m., hosted by the Sanibel Police Department. Seating will be on a first-come basis.
