Recently, VIP Rentals General Manager Keith McMenamy posted a very informative article reminding his Facebook friends to get their important personal affairs in order. And there is no time like the present! Your taxes are most likely done so might as well continue getting the rest of your paperwork in order too.
Keith’s post reminded us to make sure bank accounts had direct beneficiaries, that your home deed has a “TOD” (transfer on death) clause, and your Living Will and other legal documents are updated.
As you are creating your “Important Information Checklist”, don’t forget to include access to websites and passwords, memberships and subscriptions, important contact information (relatives and neighbors), insurance documents, and automated payments via checking or credit cards.
