Jim graduated from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA earning a Bachelors of Arts in Economics. He attended Harvard University Graduate School in Cambridge, MA concentrating in Land Disposition and Development.
Within his first two years of selling real estate, Jim became the top sales associate of Century 21 Westward Homes (100+ agents) in Wellesley, MA.
Jim moved to Sanibel in 1989 and obtained his real estate sales person license in 1989 and his Brokers license in 1992.
Jim believes in education. Since beginning his career in real estate, he has attended over 2,500 hours of supplementary real estate schooling and seminars.
He was the President of the Sanibel Captiva Association of Realtors and elected Realtor® of the Year in 2010. He was chosen as 1991 Sanibel-Captiva REALTOR®-ASSOCIATE OF THE YEAR out of over 350 Realtor®/Associates on the islands.
Jim was awarded the prestigious ‘CRS’ and ‘CRB’ designations signifying his commitment to education as a Certified Residential Specialist and Certified Residential Broker.
In addition, he obtained the ‘GRI’ designation making him a member of the Graduate Real Estate Institute.
Since 1991 Jim has sold over 1 Billion of residential real estate in Southwest Florida making him one of the top Realtors® in all of Lee County.
Jim is very involved in the community. He is the former Vice Chairman of the Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Trustees at the Canterbury School in Fort Myers and at the Bailey Matthews Shell Museum. Jim is a Board Member of the Ding Darling Wildlife Society.
He has been married to his wife, Karen, for 34 years and has four children.
