The Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce is supporting island businesses and organizations planning special promotions, “mini-Luminary” events and other celebrations during this year’s holiday season, with luminary bags and publicity efforts. “The holiday spirit lives on these islands despite Luminary’s postponement this year”, Chamber President and CEO John Lai said. “The Chamber is helping to promote activities that will keep the spirit alive and visitors visiting during the days between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. The city of Sanibel will once again decorate the Periwinkle Way bike path canopy with lights to add to the festivities.” The Luminary season calendar is available at the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce website: Sanibel-Captiva.org You might also refer to the “Island Reporter” for the week of November 22. My friends and I are taking a sunset cruise on Thursday, then strolling through the Sanibel Historical Museum & Village for “Deck the Shore” on Friday, December 1 from 4PM to 6 PM. On your way, take a moment to admire the beautiful lights of the VIP Realty Office, 1560 Periwinkle Way. It’s a great way to get in the holiday spirit!
