Becky is originally from Lapeer, Michigan. At the age of 21, she left her small town to travel south from the harsh Midwest winters. Her journeys took her throughout the south and eventually to Southwest Florida. She stumbled upon a sparkling jewel in the paradise we call Sanibel and fell in love! Becky never left. She transferred schools and put herself through Edison State College by working at the Sanibel Grill and Island Rentals. During this time, she met the man who would become her husband, Wally Mulka, an island native. Becky and Wally have a beautiful teenage daughter, Audrey, who brings them more joy than imaginable. they love spending time as a family boating, fishing, shelling and bicycling. Audrey attends Bishop Verot High School, where Becky volunteers. Additionally, Becky is involved in many other community groups, both charitable and professional. Currently, Becky is president-elect of the Sanibel and Captiva Islands Realtors Association(SCIAR). In that role, she and Bill Robinson, SCIAR CEO (as seen in photo) recently traveled to Washington, DC and met with Congressman Byron Donalds. Becky, who is a Sanibel homeowner and full-time resident, represented SCIAR, as she describer post-Hurricane Ian issues on Sanibel and Captiva to the Congressman and his staff.
Becky is also an active member of the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association, Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation Turtle Program and donates and volunteers for many other local non-profit organizations such as F.I.S.H of Sanibel-Captiva, C.R.O.W, Bailey Matthews National Shell Museum, Big Arts, the Community House and the Sanibel School.
