On Thursday, October 26 between 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District Station #1 the 6th annual Pink Out picnic will be held. The Mobile Mammogram motorcoach from the Radiology Regional Center will be visiting the station at that time offering on-site digital mammogram screenings. So if you know any women in the Sanibel area that are free let them know to come on down because it is very important to get an annual mammogram test. Many don’t know how important getting a scan can be, but early detection is key and can help save a life of a loved one. Also at the gathering, there will be a picnic- style celebration that will occur inside the station. Tickets for the lunch are available for $20 at Bailey’s General Store, FISH of SanCap, and Cip’s Place. And of course, the picnic will be free to any breast cancer survivors that attend. If you are available this is a great event to attend to help spread awareness this breast cancer month. If you have any more questions please visit www.pinkoutsanibel.com.
